Australia is a great country for international students because unlike most countries students are allowed to work for at least 20 hrs a week during school session and as much as they like during school holidays. Most international student jobs include working as a Barista, construction worker, hospitality, aged care, cleaning and sales representatives. Mostly because of the lack of Australian experience and also the restricted working hours.
Tuition fees in Australia for a bachelors or masters degree is about $30,00 per year. In order to save that kind of money, you must be earning at least $4000 a month. Which is almost impossible to make that kind of money working for only 20 hours a week since most students will earn between $20 - $25 per hour. In this case most students are able to pay for one semester in a year but require assistance from overseas to pay for their second semester in a year.
Also, it's important to also consider that you may not get a job immediately and some students take up to 6 months before getting a job therefore it is very important to always have a backup plan. Otherwise, it can be super stressing because if you fail to pay your school fees on time, your student visa can get cancelled which could lead to deportation.
