This week HansETX shares why he prefers hog hunting with an AR-15. He also shares his rig, which is a Diamondback AR-15 .223 (right out of box) and an Armasight Flir Predator Thermal Scope Model 336. In this week's hunt he is using Hornady Full Boar .223 50 grain ammunition, which he describes as a fast/flat flying round. Included in the video is a graphic on shot placement to bring down these big, tough animals.

HansETX shares his reasons why he prefers to hog hunt with an AR-15. For him the factors came down to weight management and control on follow up shots. He hunts 2 to 3 hours per night, 20 hours a week, and the light weight frame made it easier to carry while stalking through thick woods.

This week you'll also see 4 wild hogs, as he describes it, get "Chicken Fried", and he demonstrates that with good shot placement any sized hog can be brought down with a smaller caliber rifle.

Hope you enjoy! Please like, share, and subscribe for weekly hog hunting videos!!
