1928 version: Paul Whiteman - The Japanese Sandman

Original 78rpm courtesy of the Rick Colom Collection. In 1928 Ferde Grofe created these freshly-updated arrangements (electrically-recorded) of “Whispering” and “The Japanese Sandman,” the same two songs which had in 1920 been paired on Whiteman’s monumentally popular (acoustically-recorded) Victor 18690 release.
