The Festa of St Dominic ( San Duminku ) in the city of Birgu in the harbour region of the island of Malta celebrated annually on the last Sunday of August. This year celebrations were also held in Janruary ahead of the centenary celebrations, 800 years from the glorious death of St Dominic.

What are festas ?
Festas are Religious Catholic events held in many places around Malta islands. The festa includes pontifical mass, band parties, late night parties, decorations and a procession with statue of the patron saint of the locality.
