FOSSICKING FOR GEMSTONE IN QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA DURING PANDEMIC | RUBYVALE AND SAPPHIRE

During our road trip around outback Queensland Australia, we stopped by Rubyvale and Sapphire to experience fossicking for gemstones. To my surprise, it was quite a relaxing activity. Rubyvale and Sapphire are just next to each other and there are a lot of fossicking places around. You can even just buy a bag and take it to your accommodation, as most accommodations have the area set for fossicking.

During the Fossiking Tour, no video recording is allowed but you can take photos with no problem. It is recommended to book a slot but you can also just walk in. In our case, we just walked in and there were no other people scheduled for the next available time slot so it was just us. The tour guide was very pleasant and informative. So, overall, it was a good experience doing the tour and I would recommend it.

We saw families and foreign tourists, who enjoyed fossicking just as much. If you are looking for some things to do with friends and family, you may wanna give fossicking a go.
