There was a period in the 80s when The Bearded Man was never seen without his trusty keytar around his neck. It had sequins, it was bright pink, and it had a few stickers on it that ABBA once gave him backstage. With his Jerry Curl hair and his finely groomed facial hair, he was quite the catch back then. He’d walk onto the city bus, and people would look at him like “Daaaamnnn… This guy doesn’t ride the city bus because he has to. He rides it because he *wants* to.” Yep, he always took the bus when he went to record with the one-and-only Barry White. Halfway through the ride, he’d plug in his mini amp and start jamming out trumpet solos on his keyboard. It was easily one of the coolest things that’s ever happened. But it was before YouTube, so sadly most of us will never know about it.
