Hopewell Township police and emergency services personnel pulled a pet dog out of a partially-frozen backyard pond Friday night, the police department wrote on their Facebook page Tuesday.

And to the delight of pup-lovers everywhere -- the rescue was caught on an officer's body camera. The department shared it Tuesday.

Township police, emergency services and Pennington Fire Company personnel were dispatched to a Pennington-Harbourton Road residence Friday evening to help rescue Nisel, who could not crawl out of the ice.

Officer George Peterson's body camera captured officer Robert Voorhees climb toward the pond's edge, with a retention rope tied around his waist. Nisel swam toward Voorhees, who was able to lift her out of the pond by her collar.

"He's coming, Nisel," the dog's owner can be heard saying throughout the video.

"We've got to warm this dog up," Voorhees said to the pup's owner.

"I've got a puppy at home, I was like, crying" Voorhees told the owner, who thanked and hugged him.
