Bronski Beat "Smalltown Boy" "Why" (Tocata 08-01-85)

Jose Antonio Abellán y Silvia Abrisqueta presentan esta primera actuación del grupo "Bronski Beat" en Tocata. El trío londinense de tecnopop liderado por Jimmy Somerville interpretaría sus dos primeros singles, que habían alcanzado un gran éxito internacional en 1984: "Smalltown Boy" y "Why"(este tema había sido nº1 de "Los 40 Principales" en Diciembre de aquel año). Los dos temas estaban incluidos en su álbum debut "The Age of Consent" publicado en el mismo año.

Jose Antonio Abellan and Silvia Abrisqueta hosted this first performance of Bronski Beat in Tocata show for spanish TV. The synthpop trio from London mimed their first two singles, which achieved great success in 1984: "Smalltown Boy" and "Why"(nº1 hit in spanish radio stations in December that year). Both were included in their debut album "The Age of Consent", released in the same year.
