You don’t have to plant this many or can plant even more if you want instant color. It depends on your patience level and budget. As my roses grow bigger, I may have to move some of the perennials around. If I move them to the front, then no more space for annuals. Tall Cone Flowers - 9
Delphiniums Tall (Blue Bird) - 2
Salvia May Night - 3
Balloon Flowers - 5
Artemisia - Silver Mound 3 or 4
Red Hot Poker - Yellow - 2
Short Delphinium Blue for front of border planted in groups of 3 - 12 total
Eryngium - 7 bags - most had 2 roots each (planted in groups of 3)
Liatris - 3 bags - planted in groups of 10 - 2 groups
Orange Phlox - 2 planted together
Yarrow - 2 planted together
Canna - 3 bags, about 8 tubers spaced according to package directions
Dahlia - 4 bags spaced according to package directions
Planted a few more dahlias I had leftover from last year

Top Soil - as needed
Cow Manure 1 cu ft - 30 bags
Mulch 1 cub ft 12 bags
