A cedar chest that was built in 1949 was in desperate need of a refinish. The top had many spills on it and the veneer showed the damage. In places, there was no color at all left in the veneer. Fortunately, stain and finish brought the piece back to life. It is a little worse for wear, but is ready to go another round with the next generation of that family.
