▶DK Metcalf is an American football wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He played college football at Ole Miss. He is the son of former NFL guard Terrence Metcalf.

▶The National Football League is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference. The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues, the highest professional level of American football in the world, the wealthiest professional sport league by revenue, and the sport league with the most valuable teams. The NFL's 17-week regular season runs from early September to late December, with each team playing 16 games and having one bye week. Following the conclusion of the regular season, seven teams from each conference advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament culminating in the Super Bowl, which is usually held on the first Sunday in February and is played between the champions of the NFC and AFC.

▶The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football team based in Seattle. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference West division. The Seahawks joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team. They are coached by Pete Carroll, they have played their home games at Lumen Field in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood since 2002. They previously played home games in the Kingdome and Husky Stadium.

▶Budda Baker is an American football safety for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played college football for the Washington Huskies.

▶The NFL Scouting Combine is a week-long showcase occurring every February at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where college football players perform physical and mental tests in front of National Football League coaches, general managers, and scouts. With increasing interest in the NFL Draft, the scouting combine has grown in scope and significance, allowing personnel directors to evaluate upcoming prospects in a standardized setting. Its origins have evolved from the National, BLESTO, and Quadra Scouting organizations in 1977 to the media event it has become today.

▶The 40-yard dash is a sprint covering 40 yards. It is primarily run to evaluate the speed and acceleration of American football players by scouts, particularly for the NFL Draft but also for collegiate recruiting. A player's recorded time can have a heavy impact on his prospects in college or professional football. This was traditionally only true for the "skill" positions such as running back, wide receiver, and defensive back, although now a fast 40-yard dash time is considered important for almost every position. The 40-yard dash is not an official race in track and field athletics, and is not an IAAF-recognized race.

▶A stiff arm in a football game is a signature move, a classic technique for ball carriers to use their momentum to bulldoze a tackler out of the way.

▶Stephon Gilmore is an American football cornerback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Gilmore played college football for South Carolina and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills tenth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. After five seasons as a starting cornerback for the Bills and a Pro Bowl invite in 2016, Gilmore signed a 5-year, $65 million contract with New England in 2017.
