*8/1/22 Update: This passport must be cursed!! 🙀 USPS lost my corrected passport which was supposed to be delivered by 7/16/22 (it never made it out of AZ)! I exhausted all my options (missing mail search was initiated) with the post office in trying to track that damn thing! 😭 Now the US Dept of State needs me to fill out the DS-86 form for non-receipt of a US passport. Will the 3rd time be the charm?? To be continued...
*9/4/22 Update: Mailed out the DS-86 form on 8/1/22 and I have not yet received my passport (the one that would have replaced the 2nd one which was sent out to me to correct the 1st one that was misspelled but was then lost by USPS. Ya'll follow me??! In addition to this, I have not yet received my supporting documentation back which had to be sent again for the name correction back in June. Now do me a favor and go check out Google's reviews for the Charleston Passport Center (1.8 stars)...that's where my stuff is. From what I understand, calling my Congressman to shake things up is my last resort.
*9/16/22 Update: Talked to my Congressman's office representative in the morning who confirmed they will start the investigation and keep me up to date. Coincidentally, I finally received my supporting documentation back later that same day. It took 3 months to get it back and no passport in sight yet...(no updated status from the DOS website either).
*9/20/22 Update: I am in a state of shock! I received an email from USPS that there was a package out for delivery from the passport center. I was so ecstatic thinking the whole morning this was going to be a brand new passport replacing my lost corrected passport. Nooooo, it turned out to be my corrected passport that was supposed to be delivered by 7/16/22! It took 2 months for it to be located and delivered! Say whaaaat!?

❇️ Many of us are looking to fly far far away after being all cooped up at home these past 2 years. If you are looking to get yourself a passport for the very first time or renewing one, I have some money-saving tips for you! One of the most popular searches on Google is the CVS coupon for passport pictures, I kid you not. However, these are not offered year-round and to top it off, CVS has increased their passport picture fees by a whopping $2.

Here's the deal: If you not only want to save some money (what if you have to come up with passport pictures for your entire family crew??) but are also looking to have better looking passport pictures, I recommend you check out my tutorial. Take the photo yourself and get the picture you want rather than the one you always have to settle for at the drug store. As mentioned in my video, the US Post Office took my last passport picture and what a disappointment this was. Please keep in mind that there are some other softwares and tools out there you can use to save even more money but from my own experience, they either didn't work out too well or forced you to work a little harder.
