Fruit for SATs - Bitcoin Ekasi buying fruit with Bolt Card on Bitcoin Point of Sale

At the Adopting Bitcoin Conference in El Salvador last November 2022, Fernando Motolese made a generous donation to Bitcoin Ekasi. The donation included a Bitcoin Point of Sale (POS) Machine and 70 Bolt Cards, Genesis Block Edition.

The Bolt Card wallets were generated with the Bulk Bolt Card script, which is available on github.com/PraiaBitcoin/bulk-boltcards running on Voltage.cloud Lnbits instance. To learn more about the cards, visit boltcard.org.

The POS Machine is an Android tablet that has a printer and an NFC reader attached. It uses Breez Lightning Wallet for quick and easy transactions.

Fast-forward to March 11th, 2023, Bitcoin Ekasi has recorded its first purchases using the donated POS machine and Bolt Cards.

The transactions were proudly published on Twitter, and Bitcoin Ekasi is thrilled to have this technology available
