Saskatchewan Black Bear 2014

We passed on a lot of bears throughout the season and the 2nd week of June we finally capatilized. I had been busy guiding all bear season so it was nice to finally get out for a few nights. Originally the plan was to take the bear with my bow. However do to the rain starting and not wanting to chance losing this bear we did the job with the rifle. This bear had a broken left front paw but had been obviously using it for a few years as it was well worn. Turned out to be a great evening with my good friend behind the camera for me. The Bear ended up going 19' skull and squared out at 6'6. Not bad for the last evening.
