Saudi-backed forces accused him of mobilising armed units, prompting more than 15 air strikes on Dhale province, with at least four reported deaths. The STC, backed by the UAE, has seized territory and renewed calls for southern independence. Yemen’s Saudi-backed Presidential Leadership Council removed Zubaidi from office, accusing him of treason. The dispute has widened divisions within the anti-Houthi coalition.
