2010 Subaru Forester Intermittent Crank No Start MIL Flashing And Cooling Fan Running KOEO

This Subaru has an intermittent crank no start. I noticed the cooling fan cycling and AC clutch cycling key on engine off. When running, the MIL was flashing slowly. There is a test connector under the right side of the dash that is not supposed to be connected, and it was. There is very little information about what the "D Check" connector actually does. The car needs some additional work.
