Player Breakdowns: Serge Ibaka's Impact Could Be Immense

Two years ago, Serge Ibaka and Kawhi Leonard won a championship together with the Toronto Raptors. Last year, after Leonard left to go to the LA Clippers, Ibaka averaged a career-high in points (15.4) while shooting 38.5% from three.

Ibaka is a fantastic pick-and-pop center who can play power forward at times, but not too much due to his lack of perimeter defense. Ibaka’s an elite rim protector, as well, which should help the Clippers.

The team lost Montrezl Harrell and JaMychal Green in free agency, but replacing them with Ibaka is no small thing. In fact, Ibaka’s better than either one of those two.

When you combine Ibaka’s offense with his defense, you have a heck of a signing for the LA Clippers at the mid-level exception.
