2010 World Cup | Fraud and corruption case finally in court a decade later: Part 1

Having failed to appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Friday and after a warrant of arrest was issued for former KZN Police Commissioner Mmamonnye Ngobeni, she appeared yesterday, and was granted R20 000 bail.
Charges against her relate to her alleged interference in a 2010 Fifa World Cup fraud and corruption case that was investigated by the then Hawks boss, Major General Johan Booysen.
Ngobeni allegedly received kickbacks for instructing Booysen to stop his investigation into the multi-million rand police accommodation tender. Booysen says the current events affirm his assertions in his book, "Blood on Their Hands - General Johan Booysen Reveals His Truth", which was published four years ago, … and he joins us via Zoom.
