How GISRS helps shape the global health agenda – Ms Ann Moen #EMARISCONF2017

Interview: Ms Ann Moen from WHO headquarters explains the role of WHO’s Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS) in shaping the global health agenda, and how influenza surveillance contributes to a country's overall public health preparedness. #EMARISCONF2017

The WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean hosted the first Scientific Conference on Acute Respiratory Infections (ARIs) in Amman, Jordan from 11 to 14 December 2017. The conference was held together with the Fourth Meeting of the Eastern Mediterranean Acute Respiratory Infection Surveillance (EMARIS) Network, which is a network of countries in the Region working together to review progress made in surveillance and response capacities for seasonal and pandemic influenza.
