PD48 Project... an Avidity Arms style frame, for a Glock??

As soon as I got into 3D Printing last month, I realized that it could be a way to push the development of my own pistol design while we continue to work through the process of bringing versions of it to market through traditional manufacturing processes with Avidity Arms.

My idea was to take the existing frame design and modify the internal dimensions to accept Glock parts and interact with a Glock 48 Slide. The PD10 is thinner than the Glock and the magazine is significantly thinner than either the Glock 43 or 48 mags.... but, the geometry seemed close enough to make it worth learning some CAD to figure out.

So, the week I started trying to figure out 3D Printing for the first time, I also decided to try to learn CAD. My autodidactishness has no discipline... 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Here’s an update on the project after a month of off and on tinkering, including the last first live-fire test of the RJP PD48. Note that this is a project that I am doing independently, not as part of the licensed firearms manufacturing company “Avidity Arms”.... but, the project may get adopted by the company after I’m done with the initial R&D and T&E.

It’s been fun... stay tuned.
