Electric Fan Conversion & Alternator 2nd Gen Ram
The clutch fan went out on my 2nd gen Ram and I noticed an increase of MPGs. So I decided to swap out the mechanical fan for electric fans. I also had to change to the "correct" alternator...back in late March I was sold the wrong one. That one only put out 90 amps. This one puts 136 amps. Big difference!!! This one keeps up a lot better than the other one, but still falls a bit short when I have a lot of things turned on. Later on I will be upgrading to a Mechman alternator.
