What followed—street protests, attacks on minorities, targeting of media houses, and a sharp rise in anti-India rhetoric—raises important questions about post-revolutionary instability and political mobilisation.
This video examines Bangladesh’s unfolding crisis from a UPSC perspective, focusing on the changing voter behaviour, the stakes involved in the proposed February 2026 elections, and the ideological clash between emerging political forces like the National Citizen Party and established players such as the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. It also analyses the challenges faced by the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus, which is simultaneously expected to deliver reforms, ensure accountability, and conduct free and fair elections under immense political pressure.
