Don't Stare Demo - Upcoming Platformer (No Commentary)

A demo playthrough of Don't Stare, a platformer where you're an introvert trying to avoid anything resembling human contact with stranger (or unwanted family members). In a world where you can be talked to death you must platform and sneak by people and pet all the animals.

The concept seems good but there's some issues with gameplay that makes things a bit finnicky right now. Your movement seems a bit too sensitive when in the air (and jumping is much faster than just walking) that makes getting on small platforms a bit weird at times. Jumping straight up also shifts your position slightly. If you get stuck in someone's talky zone spamming jumping and hoping you actually get out seems to be the only way. As well, there are some oddities with hitboxes - the one death I left in shows how something that's supposed to function as a platform can still have you fall through it. There's also issues where the dialogue gets cut off when it goes to the next level.

So I'm a bit iffy on this game but hopefully there's a good bit more polish that goes into the gameplay to make it something worth playing.
