He holds a Master's in Agricultural Economics from the University of Göttingen and a Ph.D. from the same university in collaboration with Texas A&M University. 
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Hemme continues to guide the dairy industry as in different roles like e.g. Chairman of IFCN's Advisory Board and through his educational efforts at University Kiel. Moreover Torsten is since 2003 engaged in New Zealand dairy farming.
