Want to acid wash denim? Luckily for you, this is a quick, easy to follow DIY/How-To tutorial on successfully bleaching/acid washing denim! 👖 With the completion of these six easy steps, you, too, can have acid washed denim!

The denim featured in this tutorial are GAP denim overalls (100% cotton) and Faded Glory denim shorts (75% cotton, 24% polyester, 2% spandex). Natural fibers, such as cotton, will bleach quicker, therefore, make sure to check your garment(s) periodically (say, every 30 minutes) to check the progress.

WARNING: I highly advise using gloves 🧤 when dealing with bleach to protect your skin and conducting this project in a well ventilated area (i.e. outside OR in a room with opened doors and windows). Additionally, if you're going to conduct this action in a porcelain bathtub 🛁 (as I did), be sure to use hydrogen peroxide 🧴 to get rid of the discolored stains.
