Inertial sensing has far ranging applications in industries such as fundamental physics, aerospace/military, automotive and consumer products. Atom interferometers uses the wave character of atoms (so-called wave–particle duality, a fundamental concept of quantum mechanics), which can provide higher precision compared to its optical counterpart.
