We've grabbed the keys to a 420d M Sport with its 2.0-litre diesel engine and xDrive all-wheel drive. 188bhp and 400Nm of torque will get it from 0-62mph in 7.4 seconds. The new BMW 4 Series cabin is a real highlight with loads of tech including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. It still seats four and features a respectable boot.
