Moroccan Christmas Shopping in Agadir - Cost of Living Morocco - VLOGMAS

Agadir, Morocco is a holiday destination for Moroccans and internationals both. Souk Al Had is famous for it's size as an indoor market in North Africa so we figured it would be perfect for Christmas shopping in Morocco. We stop at the souk for some cactus fruit, orange and pomegranate juice. Afterwards we go shopping in the Souk El Had of Agadir and find our favorite coffee machine. We buy a few gifts, as well as goodies for Christmas, like dried nuts.

We head to lunch at First Tacos in Agadir. Located near battoire, the taxi station, First Tacos has a huge menu serving not just tacos, but chikkas, paninis, and pasta plates. It was so busy, maybe because of coronavirus lockdown measures, people have one last chance to dine out before all restaurants in Agadir, Marrakesh, Tangier, and Casablanca will be shut. This comes just before Christmas and New Years Eve in the Kingdom of Morocco. We even found Poutine in Agadir! Before we only thought Poutine was in Taghazout...but the poorly spelled Russian dictator and famous national dish of Canada can be found in Agadir Morocco as well. POUTINE IN MOROCCO, HURRAY!

Our final stop was Marjane, where we found many Christmas decorations in Morocco. There were Christmas trees, lights, ornaments, and other holiday decorations. We stopped to get some food for the holiday feasts as well, including plenty of cheeses. We were surprised to find Moroccan trout and Moroccan salmon which were farmed here in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. Other Christmas traditions, such as chestnuts were purchased to be enjoyed and baked during this holiday season...it is Christmas cookie time here.
