How to Crochet Simple Doily, Aunt Lydia's Cotton Thread Size 3, Crochet Video Tutorial

I know there are crocheters who would love to start making doilies, but are somewhat intimidated by working with crochet thread. In this video, I'm a showing how to crochet a simple, beginner's friendly doily with crochet cotton thread size 3, which is easier to work with than the commonplace crochet thread size 10. Start with this tutorial, and work up your skill to making delicate lacy doilies.

Skill level: Beginner (only basic crochet stitches are used)
Materials: Aunt Lydia's classic crochet thread size 3, hook size D (3.25 mm)
Finished size: about 14 inches across (after blocking)
