Here’s a simple and delicious French Fries recipe:

Ingredients:

4 large potatoes (Russet or Idaho)
Cold water
Salt (to taste)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:

Peel and Cut: Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin sticks (about 1/4 inch thick).
Soak: Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to remove excess starch. This helps them become crispier.
Dry: Drain the potatoes and pat them dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
First Fry: Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 325°F (160°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for 3–4 minutes until soft but not browned. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Second Fry: Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C). Fry the potatoes again until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes.
Season: Drain and sprinkle with salt immediately while hot.
Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
