Mandolin Mondays Featuring Adam Steffey /// Old Time Medley

Mandolin Mondays #96: Honored to have the illustrious Adam Steffey on Mandolin Mondays this week! Check out his playing on this old time medley with his crisp-sounding Northfield mando.

It would suffice to say that Adam Steffey is one of the most successful mandolinists of all time--5 time Grammy Winner and 9-time Mandolin Player Of The Year of the International Bluegrass Music Association. Over the years, he's played with some of the top bluegrass bands in the scene, including The Lonesome River Band, The Isaacs, Mountain Heart, Alison Krauss & Union Station, and most recently his own band The Boxcars. Now he teaches for the bluegrass program at East Tennessee State University where he continues to shape the future of bluegrass music.

Here's Adam with a few words about the tunes in this video: "This clip is just a medley of tunes I enjoy sitting around and picking. The first section is 'Durang’s Hornpipe,' going into 'New Five Cent Piece,’ and finishing out with ‘Fine Times At Our House.'"
