You and Me screened, in Aotearoa - New Zealand from 1993 until 1998 on TV3, and over 2000 episodes were made.

Created by Executive Producer, Rex Simpson of Kids TV, this was one of the first children's television programmes to use weave Te Reo Māori into everyday conversation (the very first was Olly Ohlson's After School, and was written, directed and produced by Preschool Educators.

Tamariki came running to the TV on the opening bars of this song, knowing that "their" programme was starting. It was our time...
