From 18–22 May 2026, this week-long online series explored how the private finance agenda is being built, where it works, where it falls short, and the safeguards needed to ensure finance supports equitable and effective climate action.

• The role of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) in climate finance
• How reliance on IFIs to deliver climate finance shapes the climate and development agenda
• The implications of these approaches for developing countries
