Most Popular Lahori Chargha Recipe Revealed by Food for Mood

Learn how to make the most popular Lahori Chargha with Food for Mood's oil-less recipe! This crispy and juicy chicken recipe is a must-try for all food lovers.

Ingredients:
1 Whole chicken cut into deep slits
1 tbsp Ginger paste
1 cup Yogurt
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Red chili powder
1 tsp Coriander crushed
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Chaat masala
½ tsp ajwain
½ tsp Black pepper
¼ tsp red food color
½ tsp crushed red chili flakes
½ tsp ginger powder
5 tbsp lemon juice
Oil for frying
Green Chillies for Garnishing
Instructions:
Cut chicken into deep slits then with a fork prick the chicken both sides.
Mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic paste, and all the spices into a paste.
Rub this marinade onto the chicken, ensuring it seeps into the slits. Let it rest for at least 2 hours (best overnight).
Cover the chicken with Aluminium and Bake it in a preheated oven 180°F for 30-40 minutes. Or you can Steam the marinated chicken for 15-20 minutes in a pot as well.
Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry or shallow-fry until golden and crisp. Add some green chillies and let them fry with chicken.
Sprinkle some Chaat masala and Serve hot with chutney, salad, and naan.
