Ikaika High Jump Training Session - SeaWorld San Diego - November 15, 2020

Skip to 1:12 if you want to get straight to the high jumps! This was the only training session I saw during my November trip to SeaWorld San Diego. Ikaika made a few mistakes but also made great progress. These kind of learning moments are one of my favorite things to see! See below for highlights.
0:00 - Nakai, Corky, and Ikaika all station in the show pool, then Nakai and Corky are asked to gate out at 0:17
1:12 - The first high jump approximation! He back breached it which was incorrect.
1:40 - His trainer bridges the LRS and goes immediately into the next high jump
2:05 - He does this high jump correctly this time when the trainer leaves the target pole above him for more information (thumbnail)
2:45 - Ikaika tries the high jump with the target pole help fading to a tap. He gets a huge reinforcement afterwards for a job well done!
4:16 - Corky comes in and they are sent on the high jump together at 4:30
4:45 - Corky backdives the high jump but Ikaika was correct! Their trainer decides to acknowledge Corky first but only reinforce Ikaika with primary.
