Who is Ade Emsley?
For those who don't know, first of all you should be ashamed! Ade is Orange Amplification’s lead amp designer and Technical Director. He is basically the reason so many of your favourite bands sound so good, as the Orange amps and pedals he has designed have left a seriously awesome mark on the music scene.
Ade joined Orange in 1998 and has been responsible for designing almost all the cool amps you've seen come out of the Orange factory since then. His most notable achievement for Orange is probably the Tiny Terror, which is now considered one of the most important amps of all time. This small, yet powerful amplifier head caused the entire “lunchbox amp” craze and is still classed as one of the best amps ever made.
Since joining Orange in ’98, Ade has been responsible for designing the most popular amplifiers Orange have ever produced including the AD, Rockerverb MKI and MKII, Thunderverb, OR, Dual Dark, and TH series. Chances are you've got a record that was recorded using an amplifier Ade Emsley has designed.
