How to use the femicide interactive map for Albania, Montenegro and Serbia
This guiding video is presenting the first interactive map that displays and describes femicides committed since 2020 in Albania, Montenegro and Serbia. Femicide is the killing of a woman because she is a woman, committed on the grounds of her sex or gender, and is rooted in unequal power relations between men and women. The video was developed by FemPlatz within the framework of UN Women’s regional programme on ending violence against women in the Western Balkans and Türkiye “Implementing Norms, Changing Minds,” funded by the European Union.
