Bonding After Foster Care | Reece's Perspective

My daughter was born while I was in prison. She then went into foster care. After fighting DHS for close to 2 years I won full custody and that case is now closed. Her biological father is still in prison and has been her entire life. Per court order, if he gets out and completes everything I completed he could earn visitation. We are still in contact with her foster family and we are very grateful for them.

I struggled with addiction for almost 10 years. I have been in and out of jail/prison for years. Now I am working on my bachelors degree in psychology. This advice is based on my own personal opinion and experiences.
