How to teach Swimming for Developmentally Delayed Adults: Swim Success at 24
Can you learn swim strokes after 20 years of splashing and jumping? Jamie will show you what is possible both in and out of the water. She loves to splash, submerge and jump up and down for hours in the water.
When Jamie is on land it is difficult for her to enjoy typical recreational and leisure activities because of her mobility and attention challenges. Bring on the pool. The gravity-reduced environment of the pool makes it easy for Jamie to move and participate freely with her siblings.
This inclusive environment allows her to socialize and participate in her three favorite things. Splash parties, jumping, and submerging. Never give up and Jamie hopes to see you in the special Olympics.
