When The Game informed Puff of Dre’s interest in signing him, Puff reportedly encouraged the move, believing Dre was a better fit. The Game also touched on his “QB 2 Compton” mixtape, clarifying he wasn’t involved in its making. Although the mixtape featured him alongside Nas, he had never met the rapper at the time but acknowledged the project’s popularity.
