SoFi Stadium is located in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California. It is located on the site of the former Hollywood Park Racetrack, approximately 4.8 km from Los Angeles International Airport. The stadium and neighbouring Lake Park form the central part of Hollywood Park, an entertainment complex and carefully planned neighbourhood named after the former horse racing track.

Above the stadium is an independently supported translucent canopy that shelters the stadium proper, the adjacent pedestrian plaza and the attached performance hall. The million-square-foot canopy consists of 302 ETFE panels, 46 of which can be opened to provide ventilation, supported by cable netting. The canopy has 27,000 embedded LED discs that can display images and video, which can be seen from planes flying into Los Angeles International Airport.
