Indian Judiciary hiding something? 51% Complaint Rise.. But No Clear Action? Shubham Sisodiya

Recently, Law Ministry ने Parliament में बताया कि पिछले करीब 10 वर्षों (2016 से 2025) में भारत के **सुप्रीम कोर्ट और हाई कोर्ट के sitting judges के खिलाफ करीब 8,630 शिकायतें दर्ज हुईं — जिसमें शिकायतों की संख्या 2016 की 729 से 2025 में 1,102 तक बढ़ी, यानी लगभग 51% वृद्धि हुई है।

ये आंकड़े Lok Sabha में DMK MP Matheswaran VS के सवाल के जवाब में Law Ministry के आधिकारिक बयान से सामने आए हैं।

🔍 क्या शिकायतें कहती हैं?
Complaints विभिन्न कारणों से हो सकती हैं — corruption allegations, sexual misconduct, “other serious impropriety” या अन्य व्यवहार से जुड़ी। हालांकि सरकार ने यह स्पष्ट नहीं किया कि इन शिकायतों में कितनी गंभीर गंभीर आरोप थे या उन पर क्या action लिया गया।

📌 Accountability Mechanism:
Law Ministry ने बताया कि judiciary के अंदर ही “in-house procedure” है, जिसे Supreme Court ने अपनाया है ताकि complaints को internally review किया जा सके। इस mechanism के अंतर्गत, Chief Justice of India या Chief Justices of respective High Courts ही शिकायतें receive और assess करते हैं।

⚖️ Restatement of Values
1997 में Supreme Court ने two key resolutions अपनाए थे —

1. Restatement of Values of Judicial Life — judges के ethical standards define करता है
2. In-house procedure — complaints review के लिए internal mechanism provide करता है

Highest complaints were received in 2024 (1,170) while lowest was in 2020 (518), showing fluctuations भी हैं।
