Educator Training Webinar: ANS Accelerators of Northern California

ANS Accelerators is a nuclear science enrichment program designed for curious, motivated high school students throughout the US that wish to engage with the nuclear field and community in ways that go beyond the classroom. Local ANS Accelerators chapters provide opportunities for hands-on activities, tours of nuclear sites, and visits from nuclear professionals, while the ANS Accelerators national chapter is open to any high schooler in the country and holds monthly presentations with nuclear professionals and like-minded students.

This webinar features Lillian and Rex, who are the student leaders of the ANS Accelerators chapter of Northern California and chairs of the national chapter. Listen to them discuss their journey so far, including what first attracted them to the nuclear field, their critical role in developing and launching ANS’s newest K-12 program, and what’s top of mind as they consider a career in nuclear science.
