Public Health in Action: SGV Mosquito & Vector Control District Year in Review

Throughout the year, our team worked hard to protect public health across the San Gabriel Valley. Join us in recognizing some of the key moments and milestones of 2025.

From our rapid response to the Eaton Fire, supporting recovery efforts and addressing post-fire mosquito and vector concerns, to advancing innovative control strategies like the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT), our teams worked year-round to reduce mosquito populations and limit vector-borne diseases.

We also strengthened our disease surveillance and response efforts, monitoring mosquito-borne illnesses and taking swift action to protect residents from potential health risks. Through science-based programs, field operations, and community outreach, the District remained committed to safeguarding public health and improving the quality of life for the communities we serve.
