How CarShield Rejects Claims For Car Repairs
Welcome to Buckley's Auto Care. https://www.buckleysautocare.com
I'm talking today about rejected warranty claims on two vehicles that have CarShield Warranty coverage. In both cases, CarShield denied the claim. The first one, a late model Chrysler Town&Country, was diagnosed with a cracked #flywheel and would not start. The owner thought the engine seized. We reported the issue to CarShield and they flatly denied the repair claiming that it isn't covered. They will cover engine repair and transmission repair, but not the flywheel. That's a loophole as big as the moon. They say they'll cover driveline repairs, but that doesn't include the small parts.
Next is a late model Nissan Maxima with a lower end engine knock. We know it is an internal failure, but CarShield wants us to prove what part has failed; crank, piston or road bearing. They also want customer to show all oil service receipts and be responsible for the tear down costs to discover what part in particular had failed. If they don't cover said part, the customer is still liable for the cost of tearing down the engine. Again, another loophole that takes CarShield off the hook.
In my professional experience dealing with many, many warranty and service contract companies, CarShield is proving to be the absolute worst for claims. Please don't purchase anything from #carshield. Ever.
