CHOC Children's Mental Health Inpatient Unit

In the fall of 2015, CHOC Children’s began construction on a mental health center to address the county’s pediatric mental health crisis. It’s the first pediatric inpatient, mental health facility in Orange County for children 3 to 17 years old. The center will have 18 private rooms, an outdoor playground, and multipurpose areas for consultation, therapy, recreation and treatment. It will be the only psychiatric facility in California where parents can stay in the rooms with their kids.
