In this video I will share few attractions in Maskeliya which is a beautiful town in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is known for its mountains, waterfalls, unique ethnic background and estates..

මස්කෙලිය-ගාර්ට්මොර් මාර්ගයේ සුන්දරත්වය විදිමින්, ලක්ශපාන හා ඇබර්ඩීන් ඇල්ල බලා ගමන් ගත් සුන්දර සන්චාරයේ මතක කැටිකරගත් රූපරාමු පෙලක් එක්ක video එක බලන මෙවැනි video බලන්න channel එකත් එක්ක එකතු වෙන්න කියල ආරාධනා කරනවා.. 🤩

During our Journey we passed the scenic Maskeliya-Gartmore road. It was covered in mist so we were not able to Visit Gartmore Falls, instead we planned to visit the upper Gartmore Falls which was a lessor known place among travellers in Sri Lanka.
Next we came to Kiriwan Eliya and along the way we vitnessed the Seven Virgin Hills also known as Saptha Kanya is a mountain range in Maskeliya, Sri Lanka. In Tamil it is known as Anjimalai. It is a ridge of seven peaks near the Norton Estate.
The tallest peak is 1,569 m from the sea level. We hiked to the Peak of this Virgin Mountain in 2021.
සප්ත කන්‍යා, නෝටන් වතුයාය අසල කඳු මුදුන් හතක කඳු වැටියකි. එහි උසම කඳු මුදුන මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට මීටර් 1,569 කි.

Due to the Heavy rain we planned to call it a day on this beautiful Norton Grange Bungalow which has a beautiful infinity pool where Laxapana falls can be seen from the edge of the pool. It was indeed one of my favorite travel moments to enjoy the stay in a beautiful, cozy bungalow nestled amidst the mountains, with a view of the Laxapana waterfall.
අධික වැස්ස නිසා අපි එදින සන්චාරය නිමා කරේ සුන්දර බන්ගලාවක. එය නමින් Norton Grange Bungalow. ලක්ශපාන ඇල්ලට මුහුනලා තියෙන Infinity Pool එකක් සහිත මේ සුන්දර නවාතැනේ දවසක් නතර වෙන්න ලැබුන එකත් ඇත්තටම සුන්දර අත්දැකීමක් උනා..

On the next day early in the morning we went on the stairway to view the Laxapana Falls and she was in her full form due to the rain 🤩
Laxapana Falls is 126 m high and the 8th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka about 16 km from Maskeliya town on Maskeliya-Norton Bridge road, in a village called Kiriwan Eliya.

After spending few time on the base of Laxapana we came back to the bunglow to have breakfast and then said our goodbye! to the friendly staff who provided hospitality during our stay in the Norton Grange Bunglow.
Along the way we didn't forget to see the beauty of Aberdeen Falls for the 3rd time. Which is a 98 m high waterfall on the Kehelgamu Oya near Ginigathena. Aberdeen is named after Aberdeen, the third largest city in Scotland and the capital of Aberdeenshire. Kehelgamu Oya is a major tributary of the Kelani River.
පහුවදා උදෙන්ම අපි ලක්ෂපාන ඇල්ල බලන්න ගියා, වැස්ස නිසා එයා හොඳටම හැඩවෙලා. නැවත බන්ගලාවේ උදෑසන ආහාරයත් අරන් අපි කොලඹ එන්න තීරනය කරා.. යන අතරමගදී අපි ඇබර්ඩීන් ඇල්ලේ සුන්දරත්වය 3 වෙනි වතාවටත් බලන්න අමතක කළේ නැහැ 😍

from Aberdeen falls there is a Shortcut road to Kithulgala, You can ask from the villages if you were unable to find on the map :)
