LIFE IN THE ARCTIC CIRCLE

This cinematic movie is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. The North and everything up there fascinate me. It sounds like an adventure to go up there ! Especially during the winter season. Huge untouched landscapes, a rough weather that changes all the time, a rich wildlife (orcas, whales...) and people for who all this is their daily life. It sounds like an adventure to go up there !

In February 2019 I went with my girlfriend to the north of Norway to spend a few days there. I had with me (as usual) my material to create content. So I couldn't resist to shoot everything I found beautiful. So pretty much everything ...

When I got home, I saw the great potential that these footages had, and I knew there was something to do with it. But I was clearly missing content.

A few months later, I returned to almost the same place to complete what I had already created. But this time with very concrete content ideas. Creating a story up there. For this trip I was accompanied by my very good friend Florian Fatton, who is a good photographer, and Michel Janssens (my dad), who like me loves Nordic countries.

Creating content up there is unique. It's easy because everything is beautiful (landscapes, lights etc ...) but is not easy in the same time. It gets dark all the time in winter. We only had 2 hours of real light per day!

So this movie is a short story about a man from the Sami tribe who lives up there for his entire life.
