Mitchell's Shaft, East Pool Mine 6th September 2017

A short film of a recent visit to East Pool Mine Winding Engine (Whim) House between Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall.

The engine sits over Mitchell's Shaft and was the last beam whim engine to be installed in Cornwall in 1887.

A fine example, although powered nowadays by electricity rather than steam!
