Nourishing is Self-Care I a poem

Self-care isn't selfish, but sometimes it's hard.

It's hard to care for a body that doesn't seem to care for you.

Still, my body is my home.

So tonight, I'll wash my face and brush my teeth.

I'll put on lotion and set up my feeds that bypass my stomach because my stomach is notoriously bad at digesting food in a timely manner.

I'll watch Doctor Who while I set up my nourishment.

Nourish to flourish even if your nourishment is different than others' and even though flourishing can look different every day.
